Manal Abd El-Hamid’s house was raided and she was arrested on May 24, 2018, and taken to an unknown destination. She remained under enforced disappearance until she appeared before the prosecution on June 12, 2018, accused in case No. 570 for 2018 Supreme State Security . She was charged with joining a terrorist group and receiving financing for the purpose of terrorism, which consisted of a number of periodic postal transfers. It is noted that the majority of the defendants in the case are relatives of the detainees. The prosecution ordered her to be detained pending investigations and she was transferred to El Qanater prison. Her detention was renewed until she was released with precautionary measures on March 21, 2019, and the measures were cancelled on March 1, 2020. – Violations she was subjected to: – Enforced disappearance for nearly 20 days.
