Moaz Eid was arrested on July 1, 2015 while passing a security post on Ashhuai road in Fayoum province on his way home. He was forcibly disappeared until he appeared about a week later and was accused of participating in the assault on Makkah Hospital Babshawi. He obtained a bail of 5,000 pounds, and the proceedings were filed on July 27, 2015, but the interior ministry was intransigent in his release, and he was included in a new case, number 2488 for the year 2015. He was acquitted on September 1, 2015, but they refused to release him. He was forcibly disapeared for 20 days and then included in a new protest case, in which he was sentenced to two years in prison and a bail of 500 pounds on November 17, 2015. He paid bail, but was not released and was instead forcibly disappeared and then joined in a new case on the charge of demonstration, despite the fact that he was imprisoned during the events. He obtained a release on February 15, 2016. Again, the release decision was not implemented, and he was forcibly disappeared and appeared on February 24, 2016 and was included in a fifth case, number 1445 for the year 2016. He was released on March 3, 2016.
