Mohamed Rafat was arrested as a minor after a demonstration in Sharqiya on December 25, 2015, and was investigated in case no. 41052 for 2015 of Dirb Najm. He was released on December 27, 2015 and acquitted on July 12, 2016. He was arrested for the second time from his home on January 6, 2016, and was released on January 28, 2016, only to be included in a new case and detained pending investigations. He was released on 18 June 2016. He was arrested from his home in Sharqiya Province for the third time on July 8, 2016, 20 days after his previous release. He was acquitted on October 10, 2016. He was acquitted in two other cases, numbers 18 for 2016 and 20 for 2016, on May 30, 2016. He was sentenced to imprisonment until the age of 23 and the sentence was upheld on December 28, 2016. – Violations: – rotation and included under a new case – medical negligence in September 2016, as he was infected with the Hepatitis A due to the contaminated food and drink in prison – intransigence in transferring him to the hospital for treatment – intransigence in his release after obtaining his innocence in October 2016.
