Mona Ahmed was first arrested on 26 November 2013 on charges of demonstration without a permit in violation of the new protest law, after participating in demonstrations in front of the Shura Council Headquarters in protest of the new protest law with another group. They were assaulted, dragged, and harassed during their arrest and until their release. Then they were released onto the Al Sayid Al Sharqi Road and dismissed from the record – Then on March 18, 2020 she and three others were arrested for organizing a protest in front of the Cabinet in downtown Cairo to demand the release of prisoners to ensure their safety from the outbreak of the new coronavirus (Covid-19) in prisons. They were taken to Nasr Al Nile Department and released under the case No. 1909 for 2020, Misdemeanour Qasr Al Nile on the same day on bail 5 thousand pounds – Violations she was subjected to: in 2013 she was assaulted, solved and harassed during her arrest until she was release and left on Al Sayid Al Sharqi Road.
