Nourhan Mohamed and others were arrested in Al Maadi on January 25, 2014 for participating in an event to commemorate the third anniversary of the January Revolution. They were taken to the Al Maadi department. She was investigated under case No. 512 of 2014 Al Maadi Administration, added to records numbers 51, 519, and 520 for 2014 Al Maadi Administration, and registered under No. 2666 for 2014 Al Maadi Misdemeanour. She obtained a release on January 27, 2014 on bail of thousand pounds. She was sentenced in abstentia on March 5, 2014 to a fine of 100 thousand pounds. She was acquitted on appeal on 12 June 2015.
