Shaimaa Arif’s house was raided in al-Sharbiya and she was arrested on April 24, 2016. She was taken to the Matariya police station. She was presented before the prosecution, who charged her with belonging to a banned terrorist group and inciting demonstrations and violence. She was remanded in custody pending investigation. She was released on March 6, 2017.
