Shorouk Essam’s house was raided and she was arrested on February 27, 2019. She was forcibly disappeared until she appeared before the prosecution on March 4, 2019, charged under case No. 1739 of 2018 Supreme State Security . She was charged with participating in a terrorist group to achieve its goals, and using social media accounts to broadcast false news. The prosecution ordered her to be detained pending investigations.
