Alaa Shaaban , who is recently pregnant, was arrested by national security forces from the Al-Shatabi Hospital in Alexandria, where she works, on March 28, 2020. She was forcibly disappeared for two days before appearing before the prosecution under case 558 of 2020, Supreme State Security . The prosecution charged her with joining a banned group, spreading false news and abusing social media sites. She was imprisoned pending investigations and is currently a prisoner in El Qanater prison. Her detention is still being renewed – Violations: – enforced disappearance for two days – prevented from visits and other means of communication for months starting from the Corona crisis.
