Judge Hussein Qandil served as the president of Al Daqahlia Judges’ Club; president of North Cairo Felonies Court; president of terrorism circuit No. 5 (the circuit was cancelled on November 3rd, 2019); He was president of the circuit in many high profile cases, including: “Murder of the Major General Nabil Farag”, “Murder of Sayed Wezah- member of April 6th movement”, “Surveillance and Deterrence Cell” and “Tanta ISIS Cell”.
He also presided over the Gamal and Ala’a Mubarak trial in the Stock Market Case.
He was also a member in circuit that oversaw the trial of Habib Al Adly, the former Minister of Justice, in the profiteering and money laundering case. Note: he was attacked in his house in Hay Al Gamaa in Jihen street in Mansoura City three times in November 2013.
His personal guard was assassinated on February 28th, 2014.
