Sanaa Abd El-Fattah was arrested in her home on January 26, 2014, when a march of villagers chanting slogans in support of the armed forces and police entered the village. As they passed in front of her house, she verbally attacked the marchers and threw stones at them. Her son fired shots from a cartridge towards the march. As a result, some demonstrators broke into the house, destroying some of its contents. Colonel Hussein Ghoneim, head of the criminal investigation branch in Zveti and Sinta, along with the secret police forces accompanying him, moved several armored vehicles and police patrols to the area, and the situation was contained and controlled. She was presented to the prosecution in Case no. 2077 for 2014, Zafti Misdemeanors. She was ordered to imprisonment under investigation, and renewed until she was released on September 16, 2014. She was sentenced in absentia and arrested in home on 25 October 2018 under this sentence. She was retried and acquitted on December 16, 2018.
