Fatma El-Sayed was arrested from Cairo airport on October 11th, 2022, while she was traveling to Saudi Arabia to visit her sister. She was interrogated about a Facebook account under the name of Fatma El-Qadi that publishes posts on a Facebook group called “our kitchen” to financially support political prisoners. Fatma stated that the facebook account is not hers and the profile picture is different. She was presented before the prosecution on October 15th, 2022, and imprisoned in Case No. 2976 of 2021 Supreme State Security.
